Guest Policies

Soft spikes are mandatory for play.

All golfers will wear appropriate attire which includes collared shirts, golf shorts or slacks. Hats, caps, and visors worn by gentlemen should be removed while they are under cover. The following items are not permitted on the golf course and are considered inappropriate attire: Jeans, tennis shorts, short shorts, tank tops, flip fops, and jogging attire.

A locker will be provided for guests upon arrival.

Carts: although we discourage their use. At least one forecaddie is required in any two-cart foursome. Pull carts are not permitted at any time.

Cell Phones: Cell phones are permitted in the restrooms of the clubhouse and golf course. You may use your cell phone for photography on club grounds.

Pace of Play: Slow pace of play will not be tolerated at Shoal Creek.
Please be prepared to play in 4 hours and 15 minutes or less. Be prepared to play at all times! Always carry an extra ball and be ready to hit when it is your turn. Play ready golf.

Repairing Ball Marks: In 2010, Shoal Creek adopted a new ball mark repair procedure. We ask that you use the “pitch pro” ball mark repair tool in the golf shop available to all golfers. We discourage the use of any other ball mark repair tool.

Repairing Divots: We ask that when taking a divot on the golf course, please kick the divot in, with your foot, towards the pit mark of the divot. Our caddies will then fill the divot with their sand caddy.

We would like to stress the importance of the rules and etiquette of golf. They insure a superior Golf Club. Thank you for abiding by these rules.
